Allow Me Introduce Myself

Hello!  My name is Mileah Walker.  I am a Realtor with Exit Landmark Reality in White Plains, MD.  I assist buyers and sellers in achieving their real estate goals in Southern MD to include Waldorf, White Plains, Bryans Road, La Plata, Lusby, Mechanicsville, and the surrounding communities. 

I was born and raised in Oneida, TN.  During high school I began dating and married my husband, Troy Walker.  Upon graduating from high school, my husband went off to boot camp and our adventure began. 

Our first duty station was Edzell, Scotland.  We moved there right before my 20^th birthday with our oldest two boys (both were under 2 years old).  Being away from my family was a huge adjustment to me, but I found the new adventure of my life to be promising and exciting.  During the next 16 years, we moved around and saw many places as my husband served in the Navy.  We also had two more sons.

In 2003, the Navy moved us to the DC area and we bought a home in Waldorf, MD.  We thought it would only be for three or four years (our plan was always to return to TN when Troy retired).  We were wrong, it has been 18 years and we are still here and not looking to move any time soon.  I was not sure what I thought of Maryland when I first moved here, but I have grown to love the community and the people of Southern Maryland.  It has been a great place to live and raise my family!  My family has also grown while living in MD.  All four of my sons are married, and we have two grandchildren.

In addition to being a Navy wife and the mother of four boys, I also have a BS in Art Education.  I taught Art and Preschool for several years before taking a break to just be a wife and mother for a few years. 

I have always loved helping others to grow and achieve their goals whether it was teaching a child or helping a Boy Scout achieve his goal of becoming an Eagle Scout.  This desire to help others is why I chose to become a Realtor.  Being a Realtor gives me the opportunity to educate my clients in the process of buying and selling a home while also helping them to achieve their goals. 

My love for real estate began during our time of moving every few years.  I loved moving into a new home and seeing the potential that each one had.  When I decided not to go back into formal teaching, the next choice was easy:  to go into real estate and help educate clients on the home buying and selling process so that they could achieve their real estate goals.
